Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian actor and singer. Her most well-known roles are in the American television series Law & Order (where she played Claire Kincaid, a prosecutor) and Crossing Jordan (where she played Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons). She has also been an actress in films such RoboCop 3: Most Wanted as well as the independent films Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and a marketing/sales executive. His job involved a lot of traveling, which meant many moves for the entire family. Maxine Her mother was a secretary. Her daughter was abandoned by Eleanor her paternal grandmother in Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is a magazine writer in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian roots from her father's side as well as mostly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was a student at Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both in Kitchener, Ontario, and utilized to be a busker on the Toronto subway. Hennessy was the younger sister of her brother. They made their acting debut in 1988 when they were twin call-girls in Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, Gillian Anderson's actress, claims she was nominated for Dana Scully, The X-Files role. She was also in the Dead Ringers series in 1988 as twin call girls. Dick Wolf signed Hennessy in 1993 to play Claire Kincaid, an assistant district attorney, on the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons, before ending the series as an actress in 1996.
