Milena Govich

Milena Govich, director, actor and musician, has directed numerous episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015), The Equalizer (2021), FBI: Most Wanted(2020), Chicago Fire (2012) as well as other. She also served as Co-EP/Producing Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018) and is attached to direct two pilots that are in development. Milena was selected as one of the eight directors in AFI's prestigious Directing Workshop for Women. Unspeakable was her short film and TV series proof of concept, was shown at SXSW. The film also won Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017 produced by Milena Vandervoort) has been screened across the US. It was awarded the award for Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival and Best Dark Comedy at Atlanta ShortsFest. The Director's Choice Award was also given at Sedona International Film Festival. Milena has been an actor for more than 100 television shows. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) is an episode of the Dick Wolf series, was her second big character. The result was her being awarded the Emmy for best female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010)(CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) [ABC Family] as well as Lori Stevens (MTV Drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has appeared in numerous movies which include Sordid Things (2010); A Novel Romance (2011) in which she starred alongside Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) and starring opposite Method Man; as well as #Lucky Number (2015). Milena, a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she completed two major vocal performances and a premedical degree at the University of Central Oklahoma. She also graduated as valedictorian. She benefited from her classical ballet training to stage her Broadway debut in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production "Cabaret" at Studio 54.
