"Rose") McGowan was born on the 5th of September on 1973. She is an
American actress. McGowan's debut film appearance was in the comedic Encino Man
(1992), however, she received more attention for her role in The Doom
Generation (1995) and was honored with an Independent Spirit Award nomination
as Best Debut Performance. Her breakthrough came in the horror film Scream
(1996) and later played the lead role in the film Going All the Way (1997)
Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999). During the 2000s, McGowan
became known to TV viewers for her character in the role of Paige Matthews in
The WB supernatural drama series Charmed (2001-2006). She went on to star in
Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007)
for which she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress and the
Scream Award for Best Scream Queen. She was featured in the action-thriller
series Chosen (2014) and released her debut studio album, Planet 9, in 2018,
which was followed by a revamp in 2020. McGowan was recognized by Time as the
Silence Breakers, the magazine’s Person of Year in 2017. She made a statement
about harassment and sexual assault and , in particular, the Harvey Weinstein
sexual abuse cases. She's written a memoir, Brave, and starred in the
documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts. Citizen Rose,
both in 2018.
